Cycling enthusiasts will be pleased to know that Arch Cycles has reopened with a new name, new look and new range of bicycles. (The store was previously Concept Cyclery.) Arch Cycles is now the first Trek bicycles concept store in Africa, stocking one of the most sought-after bicycles brands in the world.
“The decision to stock Trek bicycles was easy,” explains Arch Cycles manager Marco de Nobrega. “Trek is known for its high quality, innovative bikes that are tried and tested by their athletes. It’s a US-owned company that is still in the hands of the original family that started it 43 years ago and their ethos of building bikes that they love and are proud to stand behind is still followed closely today.
“Trek bicycles also has a much wider range of bikes, with a much broader price range, so we’re able to sell excellent bikes to middle-market customers.”
Arch Cycles also stocks the Bontrager range of cycle clothing, as well as Indola mountain bike clothing and Assos. They also have all the cycling gear for men, women and children, including Garmin computers, Cycle Ops and Wahoo indoor trainers, and Maxxis tyres.
There’s a Bike Fit studio where cyclists can get properly set up on their new bikes and assisted by a fully trained staff of enthusiastic Arch Cycles employees. And when it comes time for your bicycle to be serviced, no matter what brand it is, the full-service bike shop has industry leading technology and tools and a team of skilled professionals with a wealth of experience repairing and servicing any type, brand and size bicycle on the market.
There’s a bonus for customers at Arch Cycles too: the store boasts one of the finest coffee shops and health food restaurants in Gauteng. Visit The Grind Greenery to refuel while enjoying the healthy deliciousness for which the restaurant is rapidly gaining a reputation.
You’ll find Arch Cycles at 34 Whiteley Rd, Melrose Arch. Arch Cycles is open Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm, Saturday 9am – 2pm, and Sunday and public holidays 9am – 1pm. For more information, visit www.archcycles.co.za or phone 0861 796 757.
