A woman that is able to give you that thing, Marianne Fassler possesses that indescribable magical thing. Her latest collection same same, but different, was exactly that.
Her showcase at the second day of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Africa reminded the fashionstas that when Marianne says prints, she means PRINTS! A play on fine lace, and beautiful embroidery, Fassler’s floral themed Spring/Summer 2015 collection was not for the faint hearted.
From florals, to camouflage, to animal prints, to solid black, the collection was a feast for the eyes. Her collection optimised was fashion week has become – a cradle of creativity and vibrancy. A statement, the collection was a mash up of prints and graphics that worked in their clashing, and cemented her reputation of fabric manipulation, crafting, colour, print, unexpected juxtapositions and impeccable finish and fit. If you are a real and INTERESTING women, Fassler is your designer.
A cute moment happened at the closing moments of the showcase, with Fassler and her two beautiful daughters strutting down the runway to take the final bow.
