School holidays are here and Melrose Arch has plenty to keep kids busy this winter. From Monday, 24 June to Sunday, 7 July, Melrose Arch’s Piazza will be home to the Fun Zone, a children’s playground offering plenty of games and entertainment for kids aged two to 12.
The Fun Zone incorporates Clamber Club and all the elements that make it so popular with children, including a jumping castle, games, a soft play area with sponge and wooden obstacle courses, ball ponds, seesaws, slides, tunnels, giant balls, hop ponies, tepees and more. There’ll also be a face painter (Saturdays and Sundays only), as well as games aplenty, including a giant parachute, tug of war, magnetic fishing, swing ball, target throwing, musical statues, obstacle course races, jumping games, ball pushing and wheel rolling to name but a few. Clamber Club’s friendly entertainers will keep the kids active and happy while ensuring they’re safe at all times.
For little artists, or for those times when kids need to stop and catch their breath, the activity centre offers projects for busy little minds and hands. Colouring-in, playdough, puzzles and shape sorters are some of the crafty activities kids can enjoy while playing in the winter sunshine.
Children will also be able to meet Clamber Club’s popular mascot, Jog the Frog, on Fridays at 2pm, Saturdays at 3pm and Sundays at 2pm.
At 5pm, as dusk falls, fairy lights will cast magic over the Piazza and a canopy of twinkling lights, as well as light displays, will enchant the little ones and create a festive atmosphere on the Piazza. That’s the perfect time to enjoy an early dinner and head to RocoMamas or Piza ē Vino for a delicious burger or pizza and milkshake.
The fun takes place from 12pm to 6pm daily; entrance to the Fun Zone is free.
