There’s no doubt that children love Easter and to make it even more special, Melrose Arch has lined up a fun-filled programme of activities for children during the Easter weekend.
On Saturday, 20 April, the Piazza is the place to be if you’re young and full of energy. From 09h00 to 17h00, there will be jumping castles, a face painter, arts and crafts, Thomas the Tank Engine tables and toy trains, a soft toy play area with a ball pond, and mini putt-putt to keep little ones occupied while mom and dad enjoy breakfast or lunch at one of the fine restaurants for which Melrose Arch is renowned.
On Sunday, 21 April, from 09h00 to 17h00, the Piazza will be home to a bungee trampoline, jumping castles, a face painter, arts and crafts, a soft toy play area with a ball pond, and Thomas the Tank Engine tables and toy trains, as well as a Magnum pop-up shop where ice-cream lovers can create their own decadent treats with smooth Classic, White or Dark Magnum chocolate and a selection of exquisite hand-crafted toppings.
The highlight on Easter Sunday is, of course, an Amazing Race-style Easter egg hunt between 12h00 and 15h00. Starting on the Piazza, children will be given clues that will lead them from one destination to the next, ending at a pretty bunny cove where they’ll meet the Easter Bunny, have their photos taken if they wish, and claim their prize.
Older children and teens will be delighted to hear there’ll also be bumper cars on the Square on Saturday and Sunday from 12h00 to 19h00. (Please note that while the rest of the Easter entertainment is free, the bumper cars cost R30 per ride.)
Melrose Arch is where it’s all happening this Easter!
