See Concept was born out of the union of three childhood friends: Charles Brun, Xavier Aguera and Quentin Couturier, and we are proud to welcome the trio, that has been making the beautiful accessible to as many people as possible, to Melrose Arch.
The three young friends, all part of Generation Y, grew up in Lyon and went to High School there. After graduating from business school,the friends found that they all shared the same dream: to embark upon a joint venture.
In 2010,they were all 24 years old. After years of listening to their parents, soon to be long-sighted,saying to them time and time again ‘lend me your eyes’ something finally clicked- and they invented glasses that stood on a stand, inspired by the self-service pen. These are every day-use items, rather like a magnifying glass, that are easy to use with a minimalist design.
The glasses were an instant success, and the mono-product was given the name See Up. Banks were their main customers with the French bank Socié- té Générale leading the way, but more and more individuals were asking for the product to be adapted for use in the home.
So they launched their See Home collection for personal use. This was an adapted version of See Up for use in the home, and then along came See Magnet – a magnetised version that could be kept on a fridge door. All of these accessories were grouped under the See Concept name.
See Concept glasses quickly carved out a niche for themselves as good-looking basics that people took pride in wearing, and people wanted to collect them too.
See Concept delivers a lifestyle as well as fashion. 5 years after the launch of the glasses on a stand, there’s now a team of 25 people working on the full collection in a business that has all the hallmarks of a successful start-up.
Having been handed the grand prize for young business creators awarded by Unibail Rodamco, the founders of See Concept owed it to themselves to set their sights further ahead. So what better way to do so than to have an own-name store so that they can write the next chapter in their history!

These high quality glasses have been selected by the most beautiful stores in the world including Colette, Le Bon Marché and Merci in Parisas well as Harrods and Selfridges in London, the MoMA, Dover Street Market and Neiman Marcus in New York and Isetan in Tokyo. And now, we can include Melrose Arch.
