What’s On At Melrose Arch: 5 – 7 July 2019

It’s Social Saturday at Melrose Arch this weekend. Come relax at The Lounge, a sophisticated pop-up bar hosted by Melrose Arch and LiquidChefs, and chill to some great music. It’s happening on Saturday from 2pm to 7pm on the Square. Entrance is free but no under 18s are permitted.

Tiger’s Milk is launching with a bang on Friday night (5 July) and everyone’s welcome. Goodluck will be performing live at 7pm, with supporting acts Nic McCreadie and Jagermeister Brass Cartel. Expect drinks, snacks and a vibe like no other.

Celebrate with Rodizio Brazilian Grill and Tapas and Café Rio as they officially open their doors this weekend. Enjoy Brazilian-inspired dishes that will make your taste buds believe you’ve been transported straight to a South American boulevard, and on Friday and Saturday nights, the resident live band will get your feet tapping.

From now until Sunday, the Piazza is home to the Fun Zone, a children’s playground offering plenty of games and entertainment for kids aged two to 12. The Fun Zone incorporates Clamber Club and all the elements that make it so popular with children, as well as interactive board games and scooters from Greenbusters. Entrance to the Fun Zone is free. Every night at 5pm, until Sunday, fairy lights cast magic over the Piazza and a canopy of twinkling lights, as well as light displays, create a festive atmosphere on the Piazza.

Book a table at your favourite restaurant on the Square or the Piazza and enjoy the World Cup cricket as the Proteas play Australia at Old Trafford on Saturday. The match starts at 2.30pm.

The Melrose Arch Market takes place every Friday and Saturday from 10am to 3pm in the Middle Level Galleria. Stalls include art, crafts and food.

Enjoy Friday afternoon drinks at Churchills where, if you buy any alcoholic drink, you can enjoy snacks from their complimentary harvest table. Every Friday from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

The Heroes of Games and Comics Melrose King of Games event takes place on Saturday. The entrance fee is R220, and registration is from 9.30-10.30am outside Heroes of Games and Comics in the Middle Level Galleria. The tournament will begin at 10.45am. Winners will receive boosters and promos will be given out to all players who participate.

Woolworths shoppers receive 1hr free parking. Parking tickets must be validated at the Melrose Arch concierge desk on the lower level.
